“Promoting Professional Relationships That Enhance The Success of Our Members”

The Women's Financial Group Mentor Program

Mentoring is a powerful and popular way for women to learn a variety of personal and professional skills. Mentoring is a structured and trusting relationship that brings individuals together with mentors who offer guidance, support, and encouragement aimed at developing competence, achieving potential, and discovering the strengths of the mentee. The purpose of The Women’s Financial Group’s Mentor Program is to:

• Promote, encourage, and facilitate career advancement,
• Help members realize their potential, and
• Facilitate continued personal and professional development.

The Mentor Program will be overseen by the Mentor Program Director and the Board of Directors of The Women’s Financial Group (TWFG). The goal of the Mentor Program is to facilitate the establishment of the mentoring relationship which consists of volunteer mentors, who have specified their area(s) of expertise, and members who have asked to be assigned to a TWFG Mentor.

The Mentoring Program commitment is a minimum of three (3) months by the mentor-mentee pair. The mentor-mentee pair will:

• Meet regularly (at least two (2) times a month).
• Hold their relationship in the strictest of confidence. Each mentor-mentee pair will sign a confidentially agreement to be part of TWFG Mentoring Program.
• Respect each other’s time,
• Work on the Mentees goals, and
• Follow through on commitments.

The Mentor Program Director will ask for feedback from each mentor and their mentee after the first month, and at the end of the three months. After the initial three (3) months, it is up to the mentor and mentee to continue the relationship.
