About Us
The Women's Financial Group (TWFG) was created in 2004 by
founder and President Thomasina Michalik and several women
that shared her vision to provide a way for women to learn
and grow together. The group started with a small group of
women it has grown over the years to become more than just a
group but a support system to help each other in
professional and personal challenges. These women shared a
vision and joined together in order to help others realize
the potential within themselves.
TWFG has a focused interest in the personal and business
success of its members and places an emphasis on the
continued development of women leaders in our industry.
What does the group do?
Every meeting a topic is provided by an expert in that area, many of who are authors. Topics range in subject matter, financial independence, women’s health, social media, self marketing, job searching clinics and networking to name a few. There are also meetings that are more fun and social in nature, fashion shows, cooking demonstrations to name a few.Listening to our members
Due to the increasing popularity of networking the
members wanted to focus more on speaking with other
members. As a result each meeting begins with a full
informal networking hour to devote to everyone having
the opportunity to mingle and to socialize.
After listening to our members our meetings and
events are geared toward interaction and participation
In place of just a speaker providing a lecture.
After a few successful golf outings our members wanted to learn to play golf. This started the TWFG
Golf Program, which provides women the opportunity to learn and
play in a friendly and fun environment. In 2012 will be our 3rd
year of offering clinics, lessons, playing regularly and
